Sex is one of the greatest bastions of the patriarchy. Practically everything we know about sex is grounded in patriarchal attitudes of men’s greater status, and womens’ traditional roles of pleasing men. The sex we see in the media and the sex we were raised on is not pleasing to women and upholds patriarachal behavior and attitudes (as is true for the rest of Modern Culture). We need new models for sexuality and there are seedlings arising. What if the future held the possibility of pleasurable and plentiful sensual interactions led by the desire of women?
